FEBRUARY 2017: To give the next owner of FOFTEIN peace of mind to the technical part, the owner decided that the Gardner main engine is to receive a full W5 (“top end”) overhaul with bottom end check through Gardnermarine. With this comes a guarantee of 12 months/2000hr for all works undertaken. The engine of the generator will be replaced as well. The decks will receive a light sand and the varnish on parts of the superstructure has been completely renewed. The fore and aft water heaters are changed to new ones and cockpit dodgers/biminis are replaced.
