About brokerage

CENTRAL AGENCY BROKERAGE AGREEMENT

HAAS International, through a Central Agency Agreement, provides a Sailing Yacht Owner with an exclusive and extensive Marketing Programme. This Programme, borne of years of experience and “know how”, will give the Owner the best opportunity to achieve a fast and efficient Sale.

Commission
The Owner agrees to pay Haas International an agreed commission of 10% on the completion of a successful Sale.

Timescale
The Central Agency Agreement gives Haas International the exclusive right to act as the Owner’s representative in the Sale of his/her Yacht for a minimum period of one year.

Etiquette
HAAS International undertakes to market the Yacht in a professional manner. All details of owners will be handled with the strictest confidence.

Technical specification
HAAS International in conjunction with the Owner or his/her Captain will produce an accurate and detailed technical specification of the Yacht. The Owner or Captain will inform HAAS International of all major work, additions and improvements carried out to the Yacht over recent years.
Information such as Designer’s Plans, Charter or Sales Brochures, Survey Reports, inventory lists etc. all help to make up a complete an attractive information package for a potential Buyer.

Marketing
HAAS International in conjunction with the Owner will produce a high quality Sales Brochure. HAAS International will advertise the Yacht in International Yachting Magazines as well as on relevant internet sites and of course on HAAS International’s own Internet Site. The Yacht will be offered for sale at International Boat Shows and HAAS International will share the Central Agency Listing and furnish information to reputable Corresponding Brokers throughout the world. This process will achieve the maximum exposure for the Yacht. Further marketing activities (exposure at regattas, invitations of yacht reporters etc) could be arranged.

Inspection
HAAS International, by mutual Agreement with the Owner will arrange inspections of the Yacht with prospective Buyers.

Completion
Once the Yacht has been sold and the full agreed Sales Price has been paid and all monies transferred HAAS International undertakes to forward the relevant sales documents, such as Bill of Sale and Deletion Certificate etc., to the Buyer.

 

OPEN LISTING

In certain circumstances we accept open listings on the usual 10% commission basis in these cases the owner is responsible for the advertising himself. We find that OPEN LISTINGS usually convert to full CENTRAL LISTINGS after a short period.
